PCMC Lines to Fuel Tufco's Wipes Business

June 9, 2005

Tufco Technologies will acquire additional converting equipment to support its growth in the expanding disposable, nonwovens wipes market. The company has agreed to purchase a Clipper wet wipes converter, capable of converting at a rate of up to 300 stacks per minute and a Calypso, a four-lane wet wipes converter capable of converting wet cross-folded products into C, Z, W or V folds. Both machines are manufactured by Paper Converting Macine Company, Green Bay, WI.

The new equipment will support Green Bay-based Tufco's growth with both existing and new customers, according to CEO Lou LeCalsey. Although both machines are supporting specific anticipated new contract wipes business, they will allow some additional capacity to support future growth.
