Contract manufacturing specialist Tufco Technologies, Inc., Green Bay, WI, has unveiled new capabilities to print nonwoven substrates for wipes and other products. A converter of contract packaged wipes and towelettes, Tufco uses state-of-the-art flexographic printing technology to offer wide web and up to eight colors. Tufco prints on a variety of nonwovens including spunlaced and other synthetic fabrics. "In today's competitive environment, companies are striving to build brand awareness, and now wiping products previously unprinted are becoming walking billboards to consumers," said Michele Corrigan, vice president-sales and marketing for contract manufacturing. "We have taken the extra steps to master printing on lightweight, high-stretch and even highloft nonwovens." Product categories include wet and dry wipes and similar items contracted by major consumer products companies marketing cosmetic, personal and baby care, industrial, automotive and numerous household cleaning products.
