To improve pile quality on lightweight and/or static-prone materials, Maxson now offers an enhancement to its stackers that incorporates tapes over the pile, a unique air delivery system and a connecting frame that mechanically adjusts the stacker when setting up the size in the delivery system.
In addition to assuring press-ready piles, the new design increases line speeds by as much as 200fpm (65mpm) while reducing set-up time. Compressed air is introduced at the end of the delivery system, creating a cushion between each cut packet that overcomes static build up and helps to float long, limp sheets up against driven top tapes that carry the sheets out into the stacker. The layer of air dissipates as the sheets settle and are jogged into position.
