One of the new developments in the nonwovens division of Herrmann is the Ultrasonic-Rotary-System with a 30 kHz rotating sonotrode. The sonotrode counter rotates to the anvil drum and continuously draws the web materials through a defined, closed-loop controlled bonding gap. The rotating motion generates minor frictional resistance allowing for fluffy or intermittent materials to be bonded. The design of this new Ultrasonic-Rotary-System is compact and due to the frequency of 30 kHz the operational sound is beyond human hearing. Bonding widths up to 40 mm can be achieved. The anvil drum as well as the sonotrode can be engraved with a 3 dimensional pattern, to meet individual customer demands.
