Madison, WI-based AccuWeb has introduced the AccuBeam II digital color line guide sensors. The AccuBeam II uses four ultra-high intensity LED light sources to recognize and guide any printed line or pattern regardless of its color or surrounding graphics. The sensor uses red, green, blue or infrared light to optimize color recognition. To compensate for the different reflective qualities of matte, glossy or holographic webs, the AccuBeam II provides three projection ports, allowing operators to select the part that best optimizes the light incident angle. A 20 MHz microprocessor performs frame-by-frame analysis of captured images to optimum scanning accuracy. Up to 25 different settings can be stored in the sensors non-volatile memory and easily recalled using the three-button membrane switch pad.
