Ahlstrom names new president, CEO

The Board of Directors of Ahlstrom Corporation, Helsinki, Finland, has appointed Jukka Moisio, President and CEO of Ahlstrom Corporation. Juha Rantanen, former president and CEO will join Outokumpu Group in October and will become CEO of Outokumpu as of January 1, 2005.

Mr. Moisio is currently the president of Ahlstrom's FiberComposites division. In September of 2003, he was also appointed executive vice president and deputy to the CEO of Ahlstrom.  He has worked for Ahlstrom since 1991, having been based in Helsinki, Paris and Amsterdam. From 1991 to 1995, he was responsible for various tasks in business planning. From 1996 to 2000, he worked in Ahlstrom Paper Group, first as director of business and financial planning and later as CFO. He has been in charge of the FiberComposites division, the biggest division at Ahlstrom, since 2000. Prior to joining Ahlstrom, Mr. Moisio served as an associate in McKinsey & Company, based in Helsinki and Stockholm.
