Who We Are |
Nanoval is an engineering company founded by one of the developers of spunlaid at Freudenberg in the 1960's, Dr. Lueder Gerking, who applied a patent for metal powder atomization of his doctoral adviser, Prof. Alfred Walz, to the processes he grew up with in his career.
After having sold just a few pilot plants, we recently sold our first spinbeam (1.6 m width) for the production of meltblown nonwovens. The Nanoval process, using a laval nozzle for enhanced momentum transfer to the melt with respect to the classical EXXON meltblown spinning. So, it is a different process offering new features for the design of NW products, such as: |
-
Filament diameters from 0.6 - 30 micron
(‘meltblown to spunbond’)
-
Higher air permeability
(good for filters: such as applied in our 1st contract)
-
Higher tenacity and elongation
compared to MB
|
The process itself also has the following advantages: |
-
Higher productivity in terms of kg/h/m
-
Lower energy consumption (less air) in terms of kWh/kg
-
Multirow system: multi-denier concepts,
in future: multi-polymer concepts
-
Robust process for many polymers, such as PP, PE, PET, PLA, PPS, PA,
PE, PC, Vistamax, Kraton and also Cellulose/Lyocell

Major Markets |
We deliver in all markets and in all business sectors, if a customer is interested in developing the product together with us. |
|
Services Offered |
We prefer to sell just spinbeams only, but we have the knowledge to sell complete lines as well, i.e. production lines or pilot plant lines. |
|
Additional Information |
Nanoval is a family owned company and all costs of R&D of the past decades have been fully financed by the owner. |
Nanoval, as said by the auditor for quality management (ISO 9001:2015): |
“Your power is not enough to realize all chances, which result from your laval process” |
– So, join us for cooperation and product development!
We are a small company and cannot develop all products without companies who know, where meltblown comes to its limits and where to try something new:
