Company Description

Texnology Supplies complete Thermobonding X3 Line to Poland for IMP Comfort

Capacity to Increase for Lightweight Technical Thermobonded Roll Goods

Fontavia, IT: Machine specialist Texnology s.r.l. announced an agreement with IMP Comfort Sp. zoo. for a complete thermobonding line scheduled to start up August 2018. The scope of agreement includes the supply of opening and blending equipment, high speed/high capacity carding technology, a revolutionary profiling unit, one “ultimate suite” crosslapping device, a webdrafter with 21 rollers, a state-of-the- art 3 step oven, a cooling unit, a calendar, and fully automated and synchronized web storage for high speed cutting and winding. The high-capacity Texnology line will produce lightweight technical thermobonded roll goods.

IMP Comfort develops, manufactures and sells thermobond and needlefelt roll goods for technical applications such as filter media, geotextiles and staple fibers. “We are one of the only companies in the world with a production cycle from post- consumer bottles to nonwovens,” says Mrs. Katarzyna Malicka, Director, IMP. “Here at Świdnica, under the same roof, beginning from plastic flakes, we are able to produce between 80 and 1.200 gsm, up to 6 meters wide, in either needlepunched or thermobonded formats. This new line will consolidate our leadership of the domestic market, and also provide a good opportunity for export.” Nicola Olivo, owner of Texnology, adds, “The same web forming technology used in this thermobonding unit can be installed on the needlepunch line already in operation where we are also the main supplier.”

Texnology next generation needlepunch machines operate without sliding rods, rocker arms, opposite-connection rods or linkages. Globally patented, the configuration allows connecting rods to join and merge in a single gear shaft connected to only one motor. The needle board movement is therefore not only vertical but also horizontal, ensuring that the needles always tilt in the direction of the material processed when entering and exiting the product. Draft is eliminated to near zero.

“Our technology is organized into a three-level machinery portfolio,” says Paolo Olivo, Nicola’s brother. “Series X1 is dedicated for average performance, entry level ; X2 for high performance, with a top quality price ratio; X3 for very high performance, for competitive differentiation on the final product. With this arrangement we can supply every kind of project and meet any budget.”
