Texsus



Texsus is a family-owned company located in the heart of Tuscany, central Italy midway between Florence and Pisa. Customers value Texsus’ nonwovens for hygienic, medical and household cleaning markets—nonwovens engineered from technologies including air through bonded, resin bonded, lamination and compressed companies, which are applied mainly for acquisition/distribution layer and absorbent core use, wet and dry wipes and topsheets. Texsus traces its roots to 1982 as part of the Pantex Group. In 2004, the original founder of the Pantex Group, Claudio Giacometti retained Texsus as a separate company and embarked on exciting new products developments, production and logistical improvements, such a spooling capabilities.

It is via the search for new solutions and its experimental laboratory, among the most modern in Europe, that Texsus expresses the decades-old tradition of leadership in nonwoven fabrics, enabling customers to produce ultra-thin sanitary napkins as well as baby diapers and adult incontinence products with high absorption performance. In fact, experience and innovation have provided the impetus for the creation of products whose technical characteristics and performance are altogether unique. Research, quality, experience, attentive customer service and respect for the environment make Texsus a leader in the production of highly evolved nonwoven fabrics.

Texsus employs more than 50 people in state-of-the-art facilities. New capacity is under construction and will be dedicated to the production of coloured high loft and biodegradable acquisition/distribution layers. Texsus also offers customers a modular pilot line for new material trials. Acquitex, Wipex, Softex, Absortex and Multitex represent the product families according to the market application and each product family is available in a wide range of compositions, basis weights and, in some cases, different colours.
