Our first products were plastic-coated wire twist ties used as closures for bread bags and trash bags. Over the past 40 years we have expanded into all types of coated wire closures, Bendable Components® for face masks and medical drapes, identification ties and tags, specialized industrial and bundling ties, and packaging reclosures.
Since 1966 Bedford Industries has been known for its innovation in wired closures. We are an entrepreneurial company and continue to invest in our processes and capabilities which have allowed us to integrate elastomers, adhesives, die-cut shapes, and high-quality printing.
The concept of the ElastiTag® started many years ago, but the actual manufacturing of product began in 2004. The tag was originally designed to meet needs in the produce industry for tagging fresh bunches of green onions, asparagus, and broccoli. The tag started out very small in size, and was going to have just basic print qualities. Over the last three years this product line has grown into markets we could never have imagined. We now are being asked to manufacture tags in many sizes and shapes, digitally print the most complex photos and artwork, incorporate scents into the elastomer, and add multiple folded panels for additional print area. We have found that our tag is so unique in its features and benefits that it can be used for labeling, branding, and marketing for almost any product. Through an innovative mind set and motivated people, we continue to strive in making new products to meet the needs of what our customers want.
In addition to the ElastiTag®, we have introduced our ElastiWick™, ElastiCard™, and ElastiNote® products. These are being sold worldwide, and their popularity continues to grow as more and more customers find new uses. To get more information, contact Bedford Industries.
